Oldies not necessarily goodies.

In honor of "Spider-Man 3" I decided to bring back 2 older comics that haven't been put online yet. The first two films had FlickSkinnies and boy are they crappy. Our handwriting is just atrocious, but some of the jokes still work...sort of...
check 'em, out:

I don't care what it takes, IRAN MUST GO DOWN! For the sake of the civilized world!
Lynch knows children!

If there's one thing that kids do well it's sit still and be quiet.
Congratualtions Miyamoto!

My number 1, absolute favorite person ever is up for the Time top 100! Why he's being lumped in with the rest of these degenerates and drug addicts is beyond me, but I'll congratulate him anyway.
It's been a bad week for geekdom.

Evidenced by this and this.
Last FlickSkinny ever?
04/21/07 by: Jeremy
I'd have to say it's a distinct possibility because a tree has fallen on my shed and I'm about to go use a chainsaw on it. If I survive then we'll go see "The Condemned" next week, if not...remember me how I was, young, beautiful and sassy.
Look who's coming to BROADWAY!

But will he die of AIDS at the end...now that's the question.
Hollywood to try something new!

So what the hell was last summer...and the summer before that?
Writing more
04/17/07 by: Jeremy
People tell me I should blog more but what the hell do I have to talk about?I know blogging is big and all, but I barely find my own life interesting so why blah-blah-bore everyone else with it? Oh well...
I watched "Last King of Scotland", it was good.
I watched "Off the Black" and that was also good.
See, I'm already bored. Read this instead.
Uwe Boll pulls a Dixie Chicks

Don't tell Uwe Boll to shut up and sing...please, I beg you. He'll do it, he's nuts.
FlickSkinny gets something resembling work!!!!
04/07/07 by: Jeremy
That's right peeps, the FlickSkinny is for hire and we work cheap! Most recently we did a short public service announcment for the new downtown theatre in Athens called "Cine". It'll play before the movies and hopefully help bring shame upon loud people who interrupt them. We'll see, but the rest of you can watch it by pressing this:

Also check out their website.

Good news for the "FlickSkinny"?
Robert Osbourne's classic film-fest.
03/26/07 by: Jeremy
Well, the Robert Osbourne classic film festival came to an end yesterday in our hometown of Athens, GA. I got to see "Some Like it Hot" and "The Sound of Music" on the giganta-screen and it was a great time.
I missed the rest of the movies though on account of seeing "TMNT" stink up my local cineplex, but hey, at least I got to draw "Power Rangers", right?
PG "300", coming soon.

I wonder what Iran will think of this version? What are the Koran's views on cake, anyway?
David O. Russell: Grown-up.
03/21/07 by: Jeremy
The term "difficult director" exists to allow people in polite Hollywood circles to keep from using the word "prick" at dinner parties. The word itself causes you to spit slightly when saying it and tends to lead to embarrassing moments during close contact conversations among the tinseltown elite.
That being said, David O. Russell is a prick.
I told you so.

It is commom practice at the ol' Vision Video that when a person brings back 5 movies and says "None of these worked" my first question is always "Is it a game system?".
The following interview snippit is an "I told you so" to every offended person who thought I was just asking this to be an asshole.
"In an interview conducted by Gamasutra, Sony's Phil Harrison spoke about how the Blu-ray drive was vital for the PlayStation 3 not only for movie playback, but for games since realizing next generation games means needing more data space.
However, speaking of the past, Harrison addressed the PS2 DVD player versus the PlayStation 3's Blu-ray player.
"I think what the difference between PS2 as a DVD player and PS3 as a Blu-ray Disc player -- and I'm going to get shot for saying this -- but on PS2, we didn't make the best DVD player. On PS3, it's the best Blu-ray Disc player. So that is a big difference."
Don't doubt me. Ever.

A message from my little sister.
03/13/07 by: Jeremy
My sister sent me this e-mail today, thought I'd share it with the world:
"When I came to work today, LL Cool J was outside on top of a bus with a microphone telling us all how we need to eat Subway. Standing next to him was that Jared guy who lost all that weight. My question for you is, when was the last time LL Cool J was outside YOUR WORK??? HUH??!!"

There's a new indie theater coming to our hometown...and they've asked us to do an animated sequence to play before their movies! (ie, turn off your damn phones before the movie starts) Needless to say, we're thrilled at the wide-open possibilities of this new genre...We'll post the cartoon here as soon as we're done.
HOWEVER. They shouldn't expect us to alter our critical detachment towards any movies we may choose to review there, as they've offered us no sweet buffets as bribes. Artsy-fartsy movies, you've been warned.
Sly on fire!

They just don't make F-'ed up musicians like they used to.

This is by far the best commercial I've ever seen...although why it's 2 minutes long is beyond me.
